The new income requirements are ridiculous to begin with, but applying them retroactively to applications that are already processing is utter bullshit. The current government is really making permanent residency very unrealistic for the vast majority of good folks and it has me seething.

The yen is so insanely weak right now that I am getting paid the same now in monetary value as what my starting salary in euros was when I began my career over 10 years ago lmao. Depressed as fuck.
