Hello #preDV friends! Since last year's event I've signed with an agent and sold my debut novel, so I'm excited to just be back to give feedback this year. The DVpit community brought me so much joy and encouragement last year and I'm cheering for all of you 🥳

Calling folks who love postcolonial gothic literature, food history, and hard-bitten brown female characters who bite just as fiercely back—I am SO thrilled to announce my debut novel! The Devouring of Bernadette Quan is coming from Park Row Books/HarperCollins in August 2027. #gothichorror

I’m on Substack! @rlnguyenwrites.bsky.social and I teamed up to create Sassy Asian Bookworms, where we’ll be sharing book reviews, literary analysis, and cultural commentary through a classically educated, Asian-American lens. Come hang out with us! sassyasianbookworms.substack.com

I'm so excited to finally be able to share... I just signed with a literary agent 🥳 I am officially represented by Sarah Landis of Sterling Lord Literistic! I'm thrilled to collaborate with Sarah on our vision for my Vietnamese gothic Bluebeard retelling, and hopefully many more novels to come!

Just wanted to share that due to some exciting developments, I am not going to be pitching in DVpit 2025 after all. All is well, so please don't worry! But to everyone who's interested in my VIETNAMESE GOTHIC BLUEBEARD RETELLING—I look forward to updating y'all very soon 👀 (More in thread)

After reading through so many awesome novel pitches from the #preDV community today—this talented group of writers is going to take so much of my money in the future, I know it 😂 Cheering everyone on, and so excited to walk into bookstores to buy copies of your stories one day! 🥳

Greetings, #BookSky! I can't wait to meet fellow readers and writers here, since I spend so much of my time with imaginary friends 😂 Some of my favorites (written by other authors) include Inej from Six of Crows, Opal from Starling House, and Edmond from The Count of Monte Cristo. Who are yours?
