A LOT of anime perpetuates harmful stereotypes against people of color, especially Black folks and Latinos. And are rarely held accountable. The number one argument I always hear is “ The creator is Japanese, they didn’t mean it that way!” There’s this infantilization that happens

Here is your annual reminder that Latino, and Hispanic are two different things. They are not interchangeable. For example, I am from Brazil so that makes me Latino, because Brazil is in Latin America. But Brazilians at large do not speak Spanish, so Brazilians would not be considered Hispanic.
I will be completely honest. My cancer diagnosis is scary. But being able to put all of that nervous energy into preparing my home to receive guests who need a soft place to land, is helping me work through those feelings of anxiety and fear. 
I know I’ve told you about the group of Black homesteaders that I’m in community with. They are currently under an evacuation warning up in the hills. I don’t have much to offer in the way of help other than being a safe place to land.

I got her car insurance info. As well as her husband is going to take care of my 500$ deductible. Did I have to raise my voice? No. Did I have genuine unveiled animosity in my voice while I explained what happened, explained how I found his place of business ,
I was hit by an uninsured driver who was driving a brand new BMW. My car was hit while I was at a friend, and I only was able to track down the driver because my friends neighbors security camera caught their license plate.

I really need straight people to stop equating HIV to the queer, and trans community. If you are a straight woman and you contracted HIV from a man, that does not mean that he was DL, or bisexual. The straight community at large has a very laissez-faire attitude when it comes to sex.
