Much of this cost inflation is simply down to three years' delay. All sorts of ongoing costs with no revenue, and of course the massive cost of just paying interest on your financing. So I guess it would be impossible to prevent costs spiraling if Russia introduces delays by, um, behaving badly.

New @eciu.net analysis in @theguardian.com has found claims of “we’re only ~1% of global emissions”, suggesting carbon cuts should be slowed, in over 200 national newspaper articles across 27 countries. Adding in countries at 2-5% making the same claim, and you reach 32% - that’s more than China 🇨🇳

Often on India's grid there's too much solar at midday and not enough storage (batteries and pumped hydro) for the surplus. A daily auction solves this, paying participants not to generate so grid stability is maintained. But this is wasted generation, and storing would be better.
