Patients preferring ChatGPT-3.5 responses to real physician responses (as researchers just found) surprised me, but it makes complete sense given how burned out doctors are with overflowing inboxes. That being said, smart triage will still be needed to get some critical messages to a doctor.
And with that, another 28 hour ICU shift is over, and it is time to sleep the special type of sleep that comes more or less from complete physiologic collapse.
