Hegseth's actions make a lot more sense when you realize that the War on Terror-era military, for all its other faults, accurately clocked him as an unsatisfactory officer, and he's trying to remake the military into one that wouldn't do that.

If I were Clark I'd be so pissed about this. No idea where she stands on trans rights, or whatever. But you know how many conversations I've had w/ teammates I politically disagreed with? That had nothing to do w/ politics?

Saw some attack ad yesterday accusing some condidate of having big data center money behind them. Notably, I wasn't sure if it was sn attack from the left or from the right. Felt like a cultural tipping point.
