We were asked to provide feedback on, "How do you think AI could benefit your workplace." I pointed out how a lot of data shows it largely creates more workload and produces costly mistakes. My manager got back to me and asked if I could write something, "more positive." : |

I was remembering being 5YO and taking part in the yearly nativity play. They asked me what animal I wanted to be and I said Cardinal—yes, the songbird. My dad cut & painted a cardboard little cardinal head hat held on by a string and I sat there in red sweats the entire play like a doofus.

It must be hard being a werewolf. Forced to turn into a horrifying, disgusting creature, over and over again. If only there was a way to stop the transformation. To remain in your true form. Indeed, nothing could be worse than having to endure turning into a human at sunrise every day.

Reading a horror book a friend got me. The main character is a Christian youth. You'd think this is a poor parody of what growing up evangelical is like but my mother was friends with a woman who wouldn't let her daughters watch Space Jam because of the 30 second scene with a fortune teller in it.

Deer shed and regrow their antlers yearly. They're only hard and made of bone for around half the year. They're mostly made of cartilage while growing and covered in fuzzy skin called "velvet". Once they harden into bone deer make a bloody mess rubbing the velvet off, revealing the finished rack.

I had a school admin call in because she just couldn't understand. "How can this parent owe $605. We only charge $185 in tuition a week and he's only missed the last two weeks and gotten two $25 late fees." I weep for the poor children who attend this school.

My brain has two modes: One: I'm happy by myself. If anyone asks me to hang out I'll get annoyed at the sudden social obligation. Two: I need to hang out. Being alone is literal torture. And like nothing in between and switching between them is like pulling teeth from a stone. Anyone else?

Apparently if you swap out a Bluetooth adapter with a new one—the wireless card I just got in this case—Win 11 still considers the old Bluetooth "functional" & any devices connected under it are effectively locked to it. The new Bluetooth hardware can't connect to it or even remove it to reconnect.

I hope I fixed my wireless card issues. The issue seems to have been with the Wificx.sys file. I ran through like a bunch of troubleshooting all at once and it seems to be working without issue. Here's hoping I'm not back to reinstalling drivers every week next week.

I swear every time I stumble upon wholesome subreddits, the rules will tyrannically enforce wholesomeness, but then half the posts will be like, "Small child raises $30,000 to pay off student lunch debt for his classmates!😍😘💕" That isn't wholesome. That's a fucking capitalistic nightmarescape.

After the SRD fiasco, I stopped playing 5e and switched to PF2e. I recently got invited to a 5e game. I see a lot of improvements, but it feels so weirdly paired down. Where's the pitons? Where's my chalk WotC? Where's my fucking soap? How am I gonna roleplay taking a bath in the river now!?

Every wireless solution I use on my computer keeps crapping out. I bought a cheap USB dongle and it died within a month. I decided to splurge on a really good wireless card and now I have to reinstall the drivers every week or I get BSoD and shitty WiFi connectivity. This is why I prefer ethernet.

A predator who swallows prey to exhaust and rough them up so he can bring them home to regurgitate them into the waiting maw of his loving boyfriend. 💕 "Hey dear, I know it upsets your tummy when they struggle, so I wore him out for you~"

Do you have kids? Do you love them more than anything? Okay. What could your children do to make you torture them? If your answer is, "I would never, because I love my children," then congratulations, you are a better person than the Christian god. Why do people follow this religion again?

It's hilarious watching christian apologetics circles tearing one of their own apart because he had the gall to suggest, "Gosh, maybe the constant threat of eternal torture is a turnoff for new converts. What if we interpret it a different way?" "NO. ONLY ETERNAL TORTURE." Man fuck that religion.
