Enough is enough. The community is demanding answers, accountability, and a plan to end black soot fallout over our lower city. #onpoli #environment #hamont

Lawn signs are a great way to start conversations with your neighbours about the importance of public healthcare, affordable housing, and environmental protections. Available at our website or come visit our community office!
Talking to neighbours about what is happening in our communities is a great way to raise political awareness and help people re-engage with the democratic process. Join us for a canvass sometime 🍊
A huge thank you to the parents and neighbours who stood with us yesterday calling on the Ministry of Environment for accountability and action on the black soot issue. Hamiltonians deserve clean air and a healthy future 🧡
RSVP: www.robinlennox.ca/town-hall Join us next Thursday for an update on provincial action we should be taking to address the toxic drug crisis and how we can advocate together in advance of International Overdose Awareness Day!
We all have a role to play in bringing about an Ontario that puts people at the centre of policy-making. Thanks to everyone who came out to our Meet & Greet!
Apply before August 20th for the Ontario Women’s Parliamentary Forum! Apply here: www.ola.org/en/visit-lea...
Capital investments are appreciated, but we can’t run our hospitals without safe staffing ratios and sustainable operational funding. The Ontario NDP has a plan to fix our hospitals. We need an Ontario government that will listen to the front-line workers on the ground!
We must demand better air quality standards, pollution monitoring, and public accountability from our Ministry of Environment. Sign the petition for better Air Quality in Hamilton at the link in my bio ➡️ robinlennox.ca
Get ready, by-elections. We’re coming for you. @ontariondp.bsky.social
Thanks to everyone who came to our Meet & Greet with Sandy Shaw, @maritstilesndp.bsky.social and I. It was so nice to chat with neighbours and community members about how we can work for a better Ontario together 🧡 Thanks to @cannoncoffeeco for hosting us and fueling us up for our HESC canvass!
RSVP: www.robinlennox.ca/climate_canv... Join me for a climate canvass August 27th at 5pm! All volunteers welcome - no canvassing experience needed (we will give you all the tips and info you need to hit the doors!) #hamont #climate #environment
Last Friday I sent another letter calling on the Minister of Environment to meet urgently to discuss black soot and Hamilton’s air quality. We will keep pushing until we get the response Hamiltonians deserve.
RSVP: www.robinlennox.ca/air_quality_... Join us for a Virtual Townhall on Hamilton’s Air Quality, including the black soot fallout. Register at Events link on robinlennox.ca ✅
It’s been a week since I wrote to the Minister of Environment and still no response. Please continue to share your stories and report directly to MECP. (filmed before the wildfire smoke descended on Hamilton - with today’s poor air quality, limit time outdoors and wear a high quality mask)
This isn’t a radical take. This is what Hamiltonians deserve. We will keep pushing to reduce industrial pollution, ensure our Ministry of Environment takes action to protect the public, and boldly confront the climate crisis.
ADD YOUR NAME: www.robinlennox.ca/hot_days_coo... When the Ontario NDP see problems, we propose solutions. That’s what the Hot Days, Cool Homes Act is: a solid step forward to protect tenants from extreme heat and ensure that their homes are livable in warmer months.
Together with more than 140 co-signatories and endorsements, I call on the Minister of Health to put community safety above ideology, to confront the toxic drug crisis with every tool available to us - including harm reduction and treatment, and to re-open lifesaving services in our communities.
Thank to you all of the neighbours who have shared stories and pictures about black soot. We continue to work on this issue and it is a priority for us. So far, this is what we have received as an update from MECP. We have not yet secured a meeting with the Minister but have requested one urgently.
✅ Healthcare canvass complete Stay tuned for more updates as we knock on doors over the summer ☀️
Thank you to everyone who has reported the impact of black soot on your homes and neighbourhoods. We will continue to advocate for the transparency, accountability and, most importantly, the action you need to address this concern.
It may look like we’re door-to-door canvassing to get signatures for nurse-to-patient ratios, but really I’m just out here trying to find the cast of Heated Rivalry filming season 2 🔥
We need mandatory nurse-to-patient ratios now. Manitoba’s NDP government has done it and so can we. Ontario patients deserve it. Ontario nurses deserve it.
Our quick power hour canvass in #hamont was made even better because of our incredible volunteers. Let’s keep cheering eachother on as we build support for much-needed changes in healthcare in Ontario 🧡
ADD YOUR NAME: www.robinlennox.ca/save_a_life_... With rates of EMS calls for opioid poisoning sharply rising over the past year, we must do more to ensure naloxone is accessible in public spaces. Naloxone kits should be readily available to respond to opioid poisonings.
A reminder that in 2025 the Conservative government passed legislation that took away the requirement for them to have a climate action plan, greenhouse gas emission reduction targets, and any public accountability. Climate change is the greatest threat to human health of our time.
Thanks to all of our volunteers who came canvassing with us in the Locke St area! Great conversations with neighbours about healthcare, housing, and ensuring tax dollars are spent on things that truly benefit our communities. #hamont #onpoli #community
Thanks to Remiel, one of our incredible @ontariondp.bsky.social interns for coming out canvassing with me. There are a lot of challenges we’re facing right now, but resoundingly the message from Hamiltonians is clear: we want to see our neighbours taken care of.
