The Misty and Foggy conditions this morning across South Somerset were so unpredictable as the thick fog moved across the moors near Langport. This is an image from Muchelney looking down the River Parrett to Langport. Thick rolling fog was moving from right to left.
A local farmer has planted a strip of various seed producing plants for the birds to enjoy throughout the winter months. Here are a few sunflowers, plenty more to flower over the next few weeks.
A think line of cloud was hanging over a large part of South #Somerset early this morning. I should have checked before going out if I was looking for blue skies!
"Leaping About" Roe Deer buck in a small clover field in South Somerset. 😀
This week, always fun when an inquisitive Hare comes over for a chat. Even better the following morning when a Roe Buck also as inquisitive came so close. 😀
So there I was photographing a pair of Raven in a nearby tree when I heard the sound of an RAF Atlas. Little did I know that it was going to fly, very low, directly overhead. A real ground rattling moment. 🙂

The relentless days of blue sky continue in South Somerset but it does make spotting birds in the sky so much easier. The Swifts have been amazing as it has been possible to watch them at all altitudes as they feed, catch insects or just scream above the roof tops.

Very lucky yesterday evening when I came across a small clover field that had eight Hares in it. Normally, I only see one or two in this area but I think that most were young ones, as they were not too bothered by me, so it looks like the Hares are having a great year. 🙂
Adult Sedge Warbler in the vegetation along the River Parrett near Langport, Somerset. This birds is calling to the young birds who are hiding in dense vegetation down and to the left. I have included an image of one of the young as it popped into view. 🙂

Two B-1Bs flying west over Somerset today for a training mission out into the Atlantic. Departed Fairford around 6pm and returned just after 9pm (Credit FC Forum for: BONGO 50 86-0103 - 2nd flight, arrived in UK 11 Jun BONGO 51 86-0124 - 4th flight, arrived in UK 11 Jun)
Juvenile Peregrine (JL) flew back onto a perfectly low ledge this morning
