I think he just doesn't want to relapse. Quitting heroin once was enough. He doesn't want to put himself in the headspace where he's open to making a dumb enough call to try it again. Is it because of his run in with Oliver? When he was caught doing heroin...? If so, I still feel bad for him. Poor guy had a hard time back then. As for sweet Dickie, I swear, he just needs to learn to chill out already. It would do his body and mind wonders.

As long as it's just weed and it's from a safe sorce. Roy is more party cautious nowadays than he used to be. (Which is a good thing) Can't say I'm surprised about Grayson, he's had some bad run-ins with fear toxin.
