Safe travels & happy holidays y'all. Hope you can catch up to your games & films wishlist. I want to try Arco, Ufo 50 & finish Metaphor. Watch Dan Dan Dan, Repo man & finish Mob Psycho 100 & Trigun stampede. I might not know you but I send you a big hug.

🐧 + 🤖 Sharing my process. Idea: Combining Mechs with a family of penguins. Exploratory sketches to understand the forms in the designs & compositions.

🤖 Unconventional robot pieces i did to try something different. Low angle camera and flat brush & the other with a familiar line and flat color technique but posing in an unexpected way.

Starting a scattered-brain thread on Sergio Perez. 🏁 As a new F1 fan, I've dived deep into forums, F1 TV coverage, Mexican media, and insights from Alberto Tello de Menesses. I aim to offer another perspective and show my support, while being aware of Checo’s abysmal numbers. #F1

I’m all about characters and machines! 🚴‍♂️ For this one, I thought: let's make it gooey and detailed up close, and let the background characters less detailed and stretched. #lineart

I was admiring some fun squishy car art and couldn't resist to join in & make my own. Road rage & reckless racing inside an office. Cars inspired by Hachi-Roku's with oni kyan stance.

Trying to wrap my mind around Lazy Nezumi pro for clip studio. Stand out tools so far, Smooth pulled string, parallel, elipse & isometric ruler. I love the simplicity of CSP perspective rulers and LN appears to be more robust but harder to set up.

A couple of 2011 pieces. Same pose but totally different vibes! Used the smudge tool for one and textures and layer FX's for the other. 😅 I guess my brain has a favorite pose! Who else is guilty of this? #art

Another 2011 Monster Hunter sketch! I imagined how fun it’d be if your hunter and team paraded at the end of a session. Fashion was already a big motivator to keep grinding—why not show it off? Picture palicos leading the charge with music and antics at the front. Game dev brain never stops. 🎮🐾

Bild

Throwback to 2011, when Monster Hunter on the PSP had us all doing the claw hand technique to survive! Anyone else remember Plesioth’s impossible hitboxes and that rage-inducing charge attack? 🐟💢 This concept was inspired by the iconic Plesioth armor set. Good times… and wrist cramps.

Sharing more 2013 sketches! The color palette is less bright than my usual. Nowadays, I prefer distinct colors and tone break-ups in character designs for better recognition. These muted tones were popular back then, giving a more realistic feel. Does that make sense?

BildBild

Some 2013 experiments! ✏️ The process: line drawing, using clone stamps & smudges for the base, then brushwork & overlay/multiply layers to tie colors. Loved the randomness and discovery, but not great for deadlines. What's your go-to technique?

Solo night out: light rail > dolmades > drinks > a supergroup concert! So hyped to hear Belew, Carey, Levin & Vai play King Crimson classics. Do you guys go out alone? Is it weird for a middle-aged dude to vibe solo? Share your solo plans so I feel less weird haha

Excited players love the Conditional Finality exotic gun! 🔫🌟 Dual barrels for Stasis & Solar damage, found in the Root of Nightmares raid. My concepts are loose but detailed enough for our amazing 3D artists. Still need it for my Guardian – raids are tough! 😅

Digging through my PC and found some old sketches from 2012! 🖌️✨ It's fascinating to see the poses, angles, and colors I used back then, around my start at 343 Industries. Can’t wait to share more old work soon! Hope y'all have a great start to your week.

Love to unwind at the end of the day with my nearly 90-year-old vintage pen 🖋️✨ Its flex nib goes from super thin to wide with ease. The scratchy feel on paper is so satisfying! Love studying art from my fave books & manga – a slow, relaxing way to appreciate talented artists.
