I was curious to try @anthropic.com's latest model Fable on data retrieval, analysis and visualization. I tasked it with with pulling data on volcanics and intrusives across the colorado plateau, testing the hypothesis put forward by Best & Brimhall 1974; Tanaka et al. 1986; etc.

Question for scientists: I am making extensive use of Claude to help me with coding and also help me make figures. This is a very helpful given the fact that I never got into Earth Science to become a coder. If I'm open about my use of an LLM in the publishing process, is this a problem?
