It’s hard to think about what may befall the lower Rio Grande valley in southern New Mexico over the next decade due to climate change & the ongoing drought. So much of the community has been tied for centuries to the land, raising pecans, onions, chiles, cotton. sourcenm.com/2026/07/20/t...
The clock is ticking for New Mexico to cut Rio Grande water use • Source New Mexico
After 13 years, Texas and New Mexico finally reached a settlement over Rio Grande water management. Now comes the hard part.

I’m not in her district, but I am in her state and I’m proud of her. We need a whole lot more Melanie Stansbury’s.
You better believe we will take back the House, we will issue subpoenas, and we will continue to fight for justice. Full stop.

“If you enjoy having rights, November 2026 is your last chance to renew the subscription.” 💯
Biden’s last act was basically setting a thousand legal booby traps for Project 2025 by confirming all those judges. 🛡️ Now the administration is out here acting like the law is just a "suggestion." If you enjoy having rights, November 2026 is your last chance to renew the subscription. 🗳️✨
I just feel gutted: - SCOTUS obliterates the VRA - LA, AL, TN, FL all immediately and aggressively gerrymander Democrats out of contention -VA’s map favoring Democrats is struck down They’re determined to steal the election before it even happens, and SCOTUS is in on it. It feels hopeless.
Just got home from an extended road trip showing off #NewMexico to first-time visitors from the East Coast. Oddly, I was content to mostly just take in the beauty of our state without taking may pics, but here are a few I did take. I love living here! Our visitors loved it too. ❤️
As someone who actually did go to Sunday school, I’m having a difficult time picturing Donald at Sunday school. Can you imagine him singing “Jesus Loves Me”?
White-Cain: Many people don’t know about the upbringing of President Trump. He went sometimes three times a week to Saturday and Sunday school.
Lovely day in Ruidoso with a Gigglebush sour fruited berliner weisse at #Downshift Hidden Tap. #Ruidoso #NewMexico
I have a pretty cool Governor. She posted this today (April 1): I, Michelle Lujan Grisham, Governor of the State of New Mexico, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the State of New Mexico do hereby ORDER and DIRECT as follows: 🤣❤️💪
Kind of caught by surprise at how today’s SCOTUS decision regarding conversion therapy hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m way past the point of it affecting my life personally, but it makes me so sad for younger LGBTQ folks. And sad that we live in such an uncaring - or outright hostile - country.
That certainly challenges assumptions.
RFK JR: One time, Trump grabbed a placemat, turned it over, took a Sharpie, and drew a perfect map of the Middle East. Then he marked the troop strength of every country along each border on that map. It challenged a lot of the assumptions I had been told about him.
