Once, while on tour in Manchester, England, three trans women burst out crying as I spoke. Turns out, due to EHRC, they had just been kicked off their local soccer team, a club in which no one won anything except for new friends, and from which no one wanted them to leave.
I'm so thankful to Becky and her mom for their trust, generosity, and strength in front of the Supreme Court. No matter what the Court says, Becky is a hero for standing up for herself and trans girls like her. Doing what's right, even when the odds are against you, is the definition of courage.
Today, the Supreme Court confirmed once and for all that neutrality or indifference is identical to being anti-trans. If you're not, you no longer have the luxury of staying quiet. Our trans brothers and sisters need us now more than ever.

Somewhat positive start to the Supreme Court actions of the day with a bunch of GVR's referencing Hunter v US (plea deal ruling). Doubt that momentum will keep up, but at least some people are getting a second chance.
