🛠 Building an independent app business in public 🟪 Making the best habit tracking app out there: habitkit.app 💡 Sharing my learnings about development, marketing and sales

Finally added proper drag and drop reordering in HabitKit.app. Now that the list performance is under control, I can play with things that redraw it a few times. Still need to work on the sensitivity though.

The next thing I'm working on is the habitkit.app landing page refresh. It really needs to match the new look of the app. Looking forward to this one! I feel like every time I redo the landing page, I leveled up my design skills a little bit!

FOMOing hard about getting Cursor Ultra for GrokBot. OpenClaw felt pretty clunky when I tried it a few months ago, so GrokBot comes at the right time 🤔

I haven't updated @HabitKit's ratings and reviews system once in three years. I'm not even sure I'm showing it enough. Time to take a proper look 😅

HabitKit 1.16.1 is still in review at Google. Apple usually approves my builds the same day, so I don't know why this small bugfix takes so long 🫠

Claude built me a cool viewer to browse all the screenshots generated during integration test runs. It’s a great way to quickly confirm everything still looks right after a big refactor or design change.

It's 2026, we're living in the age of incredible AI progress... It's still not possible to separately publish two different tracks in the Google Play Console... 😢

I know, I'm late to the party, but I connected Claude Code to the @RevenueCat MCP and it analyzed all my data and come up with a nice list of things I need to fix or test to increase my revenue... Nice!

Never noticed this before, but while going through my Google Search Console I saw that habitkit.app is actually generating some impressions 😲 Most clicks came from a direct "HabitKit" search. I’d love to shift that toward queries like "habit tracker" or "habit app".

The second half of 2026 will be awesome for HabitKit users. The planning is done, I made a huge roadmap which runs from 1.16 to 2.0, and I'm super excited about every single update.

Looking for a batch of fresh HabitKit beta testers, that are interested in joining the TestFlight and checking out the new design refresh for version 1.16.0. If you're interested, send me a DM!
