Thought-provoking questions about "what is life?" The idea that mitochondria are still their own living things within each of our cells is amazing. www.asimov.press/p/mitochondria
Mitochondria Are Alive
The physical world is an intricate dance between matter, information, and energy. Recognizing that mitochondria are alive will open new horizons into how we learn about, and build with, biology.

"Solar Time" is pretty neat - when the sun crosses exactly due south, it's noon, and a magnifying glass will focus the sun's rays on a cannon to announce the moment! Just you and the sun and your cannon. That all changed on November 18, 1883. heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/november-1...

A quick tour of several MakerPort projects. If you're wondering why this video is from over a year ago and the MakerPort isn't yet for sale, it's because it's been almost 3 years in development. It turns out it takes a lot of time and work to make something simple. :) youtu.be/OiCuF7u-tE0?...
