In terms of the high press (going by the Bruno G footage I’ve seen): I suspect Bruno G takes up the higher role relative to Rice I question whether Bruno G has the defensive acumen and ability to play deepest in these scenarios.

Rice and Bruno G will be Arteta’s preferred pivot, one would think. World class. Yin and Yang. But don’t sleep on Myles or Zubi, especially the latter as the former is already heavily loved. Zubi is top draw. Certainly our 2nd best midfielder OOP

Early morning thoughts Ben White looks to have recovered well from his injury. His intensity was top on Saturday, handful of powerful forward runs made + a top regain for Jesus’ goal. Was a shame when he picked up that injury vs West Ham, was building momentum at the time.

Tzolis was better on rewatch. Really secure back to goal under pressure, though tougher tests to come on this front. Interested to see how he does against PL defenders. Worked the ball well in tight spaces with Kai and Calafiori. Top shift defensively too.

For me, I’ve maintained that the most important signing we can make is Declan Rice contingency. Acquiring someone who can take the burden off him to some degree and provide other qualities. This is why I’m now so invested in the Bouaddi situation.

Morgan Rogers The type of player that will ‘help’ us circumvent where football is heading, imo.

Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiroi not featuring in the WC, selfishly is a blessing in disguise for us. They’re crucial first eleven stars, in their own specific way.
