Fuck the reflecting pool. This has not gotten nearly enough coverage or generated the proper outrage. People thrown in prison for 30-50 years for the "crime" ofmaking zines and belonging to a book club!! This is straight-up totalitarian atrocity. Political prisoners thrown in a gulag to rot.

‘This is injustice’: how leftist zines were used to sentence anti-ICE protesters to decades in prison

Advocates sound alarm after zines were used as evidence to convict protesters of terrorism charges tied to 2025 protest at Texas ICE facility

Labeling an entire account as adult content and hiding everything hurts way more than it helps. This is going to hurt the reach of adult accounts who have every right to be seen, especially when we can already label individual posts. This is nannying that handicaps our ability to reach our audience.

Please set your adult content moderation to warn. The auto mod frequently misidentified adult content, appeals are often ignored or denied. If my entire account is labeled adult because I post artistic nudity and your moderation is set to hide you will not be able to see anything from my account

i’ll be back in the u.s. next week and in between gigs for about a month, would anyone be interested if i opened a few comm slots? i’m picturing this kind of illustration on nice watercolor paper and scanned hi-res, would look pretty sick i think

An example of character illustration, depicting a female photographer in a green hat, a light green sweater over a white button-down, and jeans. She holds the camera in different poses, and in one she flashes the viewer.Another example of character illustration, depicting a man and woman. The man wears glasses, an unbuttoned shirt over a tank top, and high waisted pants. The woman wears a button-down shirt partly tucked into a skirt. The wind is ruffling their clothing.

there’s a great Leo Steinberg essay that argues that great works of modern art provoke in us a kind of existential crisis — they reject established aesthetic values in favor of some new set of values, but what we feel on first encounter is primarily the rejection, that absence of established values

This is making me lose my mind. Are these people so divorced from their own imagination that they can’t even understand that artists are intentionally not depicting reality?

A trans girl is not "socialized male" - she's brutalized into hiding herself. What someone is doing when they accuse trans women of "male socialization" is that they are denying us the closet, denying that it is a painful and traumatic experience where the life is choked from us by dysphoria.

Reminder that erotic/pornographic art has always been part of our human history. From phalluses and vulvas drawn on cave walls to mass printed comics, from stone carved to digitally crafted. Our ancestors, all over the world, have depicted sex scenes. You can't erase that.
