Former MSFT, AMZN, NFLX. Type 2 diabetic. Lives in Las Vegas, NV and Mountain View, CA. Plays poker to relax. Points of view my own.

The last few poker tournaments have been frustrating, but that’s poker. I’ve got three major tournaments planned for the rest of the year, and how I do will help me decide how to spend my holidays.

I've got a ten-hour drive tomorrow afternoon. As much as I'm not looking forward to it, the events on the other side of the trip will be worth it. I guess I should pick out an audiobook for the drive.

Finished the first three campaigns in "Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2." It's a fun game, but I really want to disable my character's barks. There's a reason "Left 4 Dead 2" has nearly 20,000 recorded voice lines... "Sharp sticks, motherfucker" is very recognizable, but gets really repetitive.

I just found out that "SiX: The Musical" is closing on Broadway in January 2027. I'm happy I got to see it live once there, and regret I won't be able to head back to see one of the final shows...

I finished reading “My Dress-Up Darling” on the train ride into work today. One third romance, one third motivation to find your community, one third cosplay crafting tips. Nice series. Looking forward to the epilogue volume and to watching the anime.

Some states with legalized sports betting refused to allow wagers on LIV Golf events because they were afraid that it was a money laundering enterprise instead of a legitimate league. Do with that information what you will.

From @theathletic.com: LIV Golf informed the majority of its staff on Wednesday that they will be laid off next week, a spokesperson confirmed. The PGA Tour has also made it clear it has no current plans to welcome back any LIV stars seeking to leave. nyti.ms/4qBSo7I

Right now, I commute to work three days a week on Caltrain. Takes me 90 minutes each way and costs me $51 a week. I had to drive to the office yesterday. Took 105 minutes to get to work. EV charging was $6 for the trip, and parking was $45, for a cost of $51 for the day.
