Pinhead Cigarettes, manufactured by Duke & Sons, were the first brand of US cigarettes introduced to China in the 1880s. (That’s the Dukes of Duke University). They were called 品海 in Chinese, and it’s the brand smoked by the female protagonist of Xu Xu’s story “Ghost Love” 鬼戀, 1936.

This is actually good news, whether the AI oligarchs in the US like it or not. Open sourcing AI will help humans control them now, before they develop into autonomous entities with agency and goals of their own. China at least deserves credit for forming WAICO. www.yahoo.com/news/world/a...
