Professional cartographer; semi-professional board game designer. My latest game is Hits & Outs『ヒット&アウト』released by itten at Tokyo Game Market 2025.
I'm really pleased with how nicely my game Revanche Futebol Cards is simulating plausible World Cup results! Here's a comparison of the teams that have advanced through the stages of both tournaments so far. If only Egypt had won yesterday... 🤯 And Revanche is not a sports-simulation game! ↓
@countbinface.bsky.social Will you include renaming the town to Clacton-on-Ceefax as part of your manifesto?
Any takers on this prediction for today's match?
Good to know that it fits in a living room!

Yesterday my soccer card game successfully predicted the winners of both matches, and even got the score right in the match between Mexico and South Africa! So I'd be pretty happy if today's predictions are accurate as well. 🤞 🍁
What a week for Hits & Outs『ヒット&アウト』! After it appeared on the very popular Japanese late-night program TV Chidori, it became the best-selling board game of the week on Rakuten, a huge e-commerce website in Japan. 👑 It was also #67 amongst all toys -- who knew Tamagotchi was still so huge?!? 😲
¡Felicitaciones a la selección de Venezuela, campeona del World Baseball Classic 2026! 🥳
Nothing to see here, just a mockup for potential Italian publishers... 😇
Once again, the annual Carnavalesco parade came down to the wire!
For all you WBC enthusiasts, here are a couple of photos of me playing baseball in Brazil (not Japan).
I absolutely love ❤️ how photos of Hits & Outs『ヒット&アウト』tell the story of the game! Two people shared photos of games they played with their families today -- both were scoreless until extra innings, then both teams scored and the winner won by one run. 🤩
HEY BOARD GAME DESIGNERS! We're updating our reports on publishing contracts! If you've signed a game with a publisher in the past 5 years, let us know (our Gmail is our name) and we'll send you the anonymous survey. See our past reports here: cardboardedison.com/reports And please spread the word!
Is the 2016 thing here? Anyway, that was the year that my first game hit stores, and the first time I was invited to participate at a convention. Still at it a decade later!
Hits & Outs reached a nice milestone today! It reached the top 50% of rated games on BoardGameGeek (14571 of 29885). 🥳 I'm pleased to see that it's also climbed well in several of its key Categories, Mechanisms, and Families: 45% Sports 47% Bluffing 49% Two-Player Only 50% Baseball 51% Deduction
Thanks to everyone who has played my games over the last decade! I always wanted to try my hand at one of these "race graphs", and I figured out how to make one with the monthly game logs on BoardGameGeek! public.flourish.studio/visualisatio...
Very happy to see that Hits & Outs made a channel's Top 10 list! In this case, it's the Top 10 new releases in Japan in 2025. Neat to see the mix of brand new Japanese games and older international titles that were just released there. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxsA...
It's a humble brag, but Hits & Outs is the ONLY board game that these three amazing publishers have in common! (Also, I spent way too much time on this graphic to not share it.)
If you need an excuse to include Hits & Outs in your Kickstarter pledge, just say that @stuteacher.bsky.social recommended it! I think it may be his top game from the Spring Tokyo Game Market. 🥰
So while it is ESPECIALLY hard to do "Game of the Year" for board games because they're not only so numerous, but also so hard to table, it's kinda ridiculous unless you're super in the "I can review full time" space to do that, so I look at the best games of each month and do a countdown of those
It's time to back Hits & Outs! It's going to retail for $20, but you can get it now for just $15! www.kickstarter.com/projects/cha...

Just me posting a photo of a Japanese boy band because Hits & Outs is mentioned in this week's issue of anan magazine!
I don't know if this is exactly the same as BoardGameGeek's "Hotness" list, but it looks like Hits & Outs「ヒット&アウト」has been doing well on Bodoge Hoobby recently! 🥳
It's just after midnight right now in Tokyo and I'm just about to go to bed, but Indie Games Night Market will be happening when I wake up in the morning, so this is my call-to-action for folks at PAX Unplugged to check it out tonight at 7pm in the Queue Hall!
