Takashi Miike has made several films I really like but I've watched enough of his work to know he's extremely hit or miss. I'm pretty ambivalent about the world's need for a third Bad Lieutenant film. But it was written by the dude who wrote The Eel, and Audition, and 13 Assassins.

ok cool word thank you for factchecking my post that you glanced at, it would have looked really bad for me if i had said the thing that you imagined after picking three words out of the post at random

Man it's so funny when James Carville threatens to leave the Democratic party, like oh no, now the party might have candidates who are actually popular with their constituents and have popular policy positions and win elections what are we going to do noooo don't

I've almost finished Lords of The Fallen and I'm trying to put my finger on why exactly it doesn't really do it for me the way that the FromSoftware games it's aping do it for me. I guess possibly part of it is that more of the difficulty feels more forced and less like things learning can overcome

Honestly when I put up the two shirt designs I have up right now I was expecting this one to be the big hit and the spy one (which is intentionally overly wordy and aggressive looking) to be the more niche one but the opposite happened.

I designed a new t-shirt about the innate tensions of living in the desert. Maybe that doesn't relate to you now, but it will. If you don't live in the desert now, you will in the future. roryblank.bigcartel.com

A crude drawing of a cowboy on a horse that is rearing up
it says "the big cowboy" in big text and in smaller text it says "I'm the big cowboy and I ride the big horse out on the wide open plains. I live for danger and I live for wrangling stuff and I live for the right to basic dignity that all people deserve."

Trump is not a popular president and has never been a particularly popular president. The only time he won the popular vote was in a low turnout election where people were angry at the incumbent party over cost of living and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. His election was not a massive cultural shift
