Canada when it evacuated nationals from Iran/Iraq (can’t remember) charged them for the flight. So, got them out but not totally at taxpayers cost.

My sense, and experience, is there is less civility overall, e.g. mostly less thank others and recognition of effort than would have occurred say ten years ago. This general condition then has an effect of indicating for the newer workforce that this is ok.
@hootsuite.com does not seem like this arrangement is connected to your company values or those of one based in Canada. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about ICE and no way out of the situation they have willingly taken
