This is the one of the best motto out there. Just finished doing the same internally in my team!
The best build is no build
Such a pleasant weather in Sydney. My mind cannot comprehend the timezone right now tho! London -> Amsterdam -> Sydney
Any react native nerds in Amsterdam ? Would love to meet for a coffee. I will be there over the weekend.
Legend List 0.3.0 now has 0 dependencies and is just 3kb gzipped. I replaced Legend State with a tiny signaling system that does the same optimizations. And optimized a few more things too, so it's even faster 😀 ✨ 100% JavaScript ✨ 0 dependencies ✨ 3kb ✨ Fast!
Has anyone validated the performance of Maestro tests after enabling new architecture? View flattening should make the tests run faster, right ?
As a fellow wannabe product developer, my mind can't comprehend the number people joining @bsky.app every second. It's just crazy how fast it's growing. Bluesky FTW! bcounter.nat.vg

They are finally relaxing! Job well done @reactnativelondon.co.uk tea m.
I am not going to say what or when, but what @kzzzf.bsky.social / @swmansion.com are about to release will erupt the whole React Native community. I have been blown away! True genius! Y’all gonna love it. The demo was like 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
@grabbou.com begins his deep dive into performance via Nitro 🔥 #RNLConf2024
Couldn’t attend the workshops today but see you all tomorrow. Excited for @reactnativelondon.co.uk
noice release! have been using beta for more than a week! everything looks noice!
🥳 Today we're announcing the release of 𝝠 Expo SDK 52! This is our biggest release ever, so grab a coffee and check out the release notes ⤵️ expo.dev/changelog/20...
We are under a week out from RNL Conf 2024!! By request of @groundcontrol.bsky.social we’ve assembled a list of our speakers and opt-in attendees, so you can keep up to date with all their posts ahead of and at the Conf: bsky.app/profile/did:...
Feels so good to be able to remove this part of the code after upgrading React Navigation to V7. I had this hack in place to just get header search working in the tabs.
Yo. see you at RNL Conf soon!
Come to @rnlconf.bsky.social next week and come to my Expo Router workshop! We're gonna figure out shared routes for reals this time. We'll be on the bleeding edge with SDK 52, learning stuff you couldn't do a few weeks ago. www.reactnativelondon.co.uk
Secret Expert tip: It's amazing how much FPS you gain on @expo.dev / React Native by rendering directly with `RCTText` and `RCTView` - huge boosts for lists and initial mount time. We migrated many surfaces, seeing up to 20-30 extra FPS in performance gains! gist.github.com/hirbod/03d48...
Is it just me or preventing splash screen with expo-splash-screen or SplashScreen from expo-router doesn’t work at all on iOS? Currently on expo 52!
I use X just for react native related content and it does seem like all the people that I follow in X are now in @bsky.app. It's the time I completely move to Bsky too. At least I don't have to see all those political drama! Bullish on bsky!
Ability to use native code, JS only code, Skia engine in a single react native app. I don't think any other framework can beat this. If your react native app is not performant, it's on you.
@samuelscheit.com is cooking something incredible. I am very bullish on this new list approach. samuelscheit.github.io/react-native...
I honestly think @bsky.app finally has everything for me to switch to it. App seems so smooth and fun to use. All RN devs should actually dogfood Bluesky.
