I don't think it's fit for human survival anylonger. 🌞🔥💀

IT technician by day, enjoy reading, painting, listening, wargaming and collecting in every other moment. Getting old. Older. I pray to Crom, but he does not listen.
Slept through most of Sunday. Can't tell if it was heat or long required rest, but I woke up in time to shower, eat something, and head out to the D&D game. Where I promptly almost killed my bard by splitting up the party and go solo, just to watch the annoying henchman slip away for the third time.
Hugo Pratt. The Corto Maltese saga has the cinematographic genius of Sergio Leone and the clean lines that are stiil today a baffling mistery. At the opposite end of the spectrum (frame and style wise), Sergio Toppi. I can spend hours admiring the details in each frame.
Arthur Ranson. Tiny scratchy lines that add up to some of the clearest, well-framed comic panels there have ever been.
So while the weather is pushing the 45°C experiment on human body resilience, I decided it's a good time to finish assembling the Armageddon box. Out of spite. Yeah. Defiance? Delirium? Same thing, different names?
Went outside for a smoke, been hit with a 42° C wall of heat. It felt like a smack in the back of my head. "The sun is a deadly lazer". 🌞

Fine people of Bluesky, about to start second to last shift at work before Summer holiday. I just don't want to insult, beat up or kill anyone in these miserabile few hours. And yet, the risk is real.
Buy books. Read books. Hold on to them until your dying day. Write. Draw. Paint. Think. Imagine. Don't let them extinguish the light that makes us human.
Today I did a quick recon of the two new campus wings that will open next academic years (about 7 weeks from today). I'm flabbersgasted by how badly designed and organized the spaces/access points are. There are a couple safety hazards too - which I will point out when the proper inspection comes.

After 7 months of filling vacant shifts for colleagues, tomorrow I get something back (once in a blue moon, it happens), and I stay home from work. Obviously, both yesterday and today I enjoyed a massive mental crash, and have done close to nothing at all. Time to glue some plastic.

You suddenly get a narrator describing your life and there’s no way to turn it off - everyone can hear it. While shopping, at work, at home, with friends - the voice narrating your every move goes on. Who do you hope is the voice of this narrator?
This night was cool enough to make me get up and wear my usual old t-shirt... Do you get it? It was... cool. I had to wear clothes. Because the air was... cool. I had a full night of refreshing sleep after too many weeks. I feel like a proper human being once again!

I understand old age etc., but I just chipped a tooth (upper left canine) eating a cracker. A cracker, not a wafer of granite and quartz. WTF??
I am so fucking tired of this humid hell. I don't have the drive for anything, I can't even daydream. I'm so fucking tired.
Took a couple days off the digital world to refresh. In body and mind. Task failed successfully? 🤔
So, a certain president of a certain country did a rant about microchips, because he mixed transistors with transgender. I'm looking forward about hearing something from the same individual, related to translation, transportation, and energy transition. It'll be surprising, to say the least.
I don't want to jinx it, but there's a big rumbling block of dark clouds gathering here, and wind gusts blowing strong. 🤞🤞🤞 youtu.be/RD5b_0QB0wI?...

I have an unhealthy urge to watch John Carpenter's The Thing once again. 🤔
So, as today I'm enjoying a double shift at work in a freezing cold server room, I brought along some minis to assemble.🙂↕️ A quick glance at the bag, and adding up sprues, tools and selected bits, it's about 350-400 € worth of stuff.🤔 I'm bewildered to say the least. 😅
I'm gutted. And I still haven't read Sutter Cane.

OPR Horde mode works spectacularly well in solo Future/Firefight (WH40K and Kill Team equivalents) once you get the hang of activations. As soon as the weather will allow, I'll try a proper big battle. Also looking forward to sample the same in Fantasy Battle and Skirmish rulesets.
I'm trying to make the most of the weekend by reading some rulesets and compiling reference material for TTRPGs. My brain is boiled. Sleep is scarce. Fine people of Bluesky solve me this riddle: in WH40K 11th edition, are the rules for army mustering and mission choice only found in the app?

This morning, while I was taking a shower before heading out to work, I had the most useless, disturbing and fun epiphany about WH40K Orks reproduction cycle and Waaaaghs. Which, by itself, is very much orky.
