Has there been such a dramatic fall from a hitter in recent memory? He hit .303 with 27 home runs in his first 94 games. He's hit .221 with 16 HR in last 137 games. I don't think injuries are the major factor.

I thought the Wild had a real chance to end it. But that's now 129 consecutive seasons for Minnesota men's pro sports (big 4) without a title or even championship game/series appearance, extending the state's record streak for lack of men's championship game/series appearances.... (1/2)
I made this post when the Browns didn't trade Njoku and Jets didn't trade Hall at the deadline. And unless I'm wrong the Browns got no compensation for him signing with the Chargers (Hall re-signed so makes him sort of moot). Njoku really drives home the point here.
Peter Schoenke@rotopeter.bsky.social · 9mo agoThe salary cap and other factors make the NFL trade deadline the hardest to do deals among pro sports, but a big reason also seems that GMs just don't seem to have a mentality of getting anything for expiring assets like other sports.
MLB teams should be able to trade any of their draft picks. We'd get more of this.

When is the last time a NFL team took a player and traded him later in the first round like happens with seemingly every pick in the NBA? Maybe happens?

Just like your fantasy draft, the first overall pick shouldn’t get any time on the clock. Just make the pick!
It seems like there's less consensus on picks for this year's NFL draft after the top two then most years .. or do I have a bad memory? Should be some chaos I hope.
Friday free agent results: I didn't bid enough for Enyel De Los Santos or Sam Antonacci. Both are going to be expensive on Sunday.
