The sudden satisfaction with mediocre, subpar code is so god damn frustrating. I assert that writing software is a form of art and must be treated as such. Solutions to problems are creative in nature and A I cannot converge upon elegance. It cannot create novel software, only disgusting CRUD slop.

Seeing how Math and Engineering jobs are getting the joy sucked out of them because of AI, and that AI will possibly leave us without jobs, I'm wondering if it's worth living anymore. No, I'm not going to kms, but the thoughts are starting to pop up.

Not my company wanting us to start using an AI engine to basically prompt to build an app with no view of the code underneath at all 😮‍💨. But they want us to become "builders". Having AI review code or suggest changes was much better in retrospective
