Three meditations on death and mourning with the RSNO in Edinburgh
Mozart's Requiem packs in the crowd, but it's Berg's Violin Concerto with Carolin Widmann that really finds the spiritual depth.

Grateful thanks to audience members for these captures from this weekend’s performances of the Mozart Requiem in Edinburgh and Glasgow with @rsno.bsky.social. What a memorable experience it has been 🎶🙌🏼
@rsno.bsky.social Wonderful, heartrenching performance of Mozart’s Requiem tonight. Did not expect a BSL performance but (as a non Latin speaker but fluent in BSL) it gave so much meaning and emotion to the performance. Genuinely brilliant. Thank you

Friday night was one of my favourite @rsno.bsky.social concerts in a while. The first half was a virtuoso performance from Jess Gillam playing the Scottish premiere of Anna Clyne's Glasslands. And then, BOOM! Shostakovich 8 - one of the most incredible, powerful pieces, so apt for today #bravo

We’ve been season ticket holders with RSNO for years. THIS WAS THE BEST CONCERT EXPERIENCE we’ve ever had, and we’ve heard some FABULOUS concerts. Standing ovations in the Usher Hall never happen. But they did tonight.
Tonight is the first performance of Uprising! Featuring the RSNO Chorus, Youth Chorus, Chorus Academy and Changed Voices 👏
Scottish premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Uprising - a community opera on the theme of climate crisis and sustainability with the @rsno.bsky.social orchestra and chorus. Some exquisite passages of music and so impressed by the youth chorus.
