After a period without therapy because my previous therapist had family issues and stopped practicing, I decided that it was time to go back to it. A friend referred me to a therapist he trusted, and then the sessions started fine. Don't get me wrong, I was always considered a strange-ish person, quieter than usual, introverted, followed some hobbies to the deep but, at the same time, had several.

Oi 👋 . Esse ano eu comecei a lecionar aulas de programação web (backend/frontend) em uma escola de tecnologia local aqui em Fortaleza/CE. Tem sido uma experiência bem interessante pra mim e bem diferente do que eu imaginava em vários aspectos. Já palestrei várias vezes, fiz workshops, treinamentos tanto abertos quanto fechados, já fiz dezenas de onboards de novos membros do time e eu considerava que essa seria uma experiência focada para melhorar minha comunicação e desenvoltura em público e foi para isso que fui buscar quando iniciei esse processo, porém tem sido muito mais que isso até então.

Antes de mais nada, olá! Vou assumir que você acessou esse post pois já me conhece ou me segue em algum lugar da internet. MTG (Magic The Gathering) Card Block

Just created this MTG Card View block using Telex. It took me a few rounds of polishing to get it right, but this is looking pretty decent now. Arduino

It's been a while since I stopped caring about Arduino. Ever since I discovered other boards like ESP32 and SMT32, I've never looked back. For personal projects and automation, those boards are my go-to. Today I saw on Techmeme that Qualcomm acquired Arduino. I doubt it's beneficial for Arduino and its users. I still use the Arduino IDE and hope they don't change licensing or anything else.

WooCommerce at Scale

Really solid write-up from the WooCommerce team on scaling performance (developer.woocommerce.com). The part that stands out for me is the edge-caching work — lowering TTFB by moving cache layers closer to the user is a big win for any store where latency is often the hidden bottleneck. The long-term challenge is always balancing cache hit rates with dynamic content, but this approach feels like a big step in the right direction for reducing TTFB at scale.

What could go wrong?

If I were to suggest an addition: perhaps a caveat/guidance for companies scaling from “office first” to “distributed first” — how to unlearn old habits (e.g. “everyone must be online from 9 to 5”), and how to coach managers who are uncomfortable giving up visibility and control. Because in many organizations, the hardest transformation is internal mindset. @mrfoxtalbot wrote a great post about the challenges a company can face when trying to move towards distributed work without the right lens.
