the in-game social media feed for GVH was a blast to work on, and i asked my coworkers to submit things that various characters would say if they were dinos on twitter. however i had failed to consider that we would need to explain things to the loc team. such as this

a screenshot of a localization spreadsheet where the loc teams are asking for additional context on in-game social media posts, notably "the meteor cant get us if we suck it dry first". i then have to explain that it refers to performing oral sex on the meteor as a means of defeating it

going through some localization documents for GVH as we prepare for a localization meeting for our new secret project, and came across this gem. making games is the best job in the world lmao

The first section quotes an in-game social media post that reads: @meltyng she explode on my cambrian til i. The second section is a question from the localizer that reads: What does that mean? The third section is a reply from us that reads: She [blank] on my [blank] til i [blank] is a meme formula that uses words or phrases and breaks them up to make sexual innuendo. like "she ebbin on my nezer til i scrooge" referring to the dickens' character ebenezer scrooge.

I don't even care anymore. If you still like Snoot or Wani after finding out about Cavemanon, you're a piece of shit. They're not good games at all. Snoot is very blatantly racist and transphobic, and Wani is white savior porn. You cannot reclaim these games. Stop using that excuse.
