The funny thing about Fiendfolio is actually gives me an appetite for a more traditional zelda-like game featuring it's cast of enemies. I'll often play something and say to myself, "this rules, I'd love to see it as a roguelike". Pretty rare for me to feel the reverse. Consider it high praise.
Fiend Folio: RELOADED update is out! 700 enemies, 400 items, and more? #bindingofisaac
need to draw more wacky tf n hypno scenarios *will continue not to draw wacky tf n hypno scenarios because they are hard 😔

Aria knows you're looking but it's okay, she doesn't mind 💖 (Aria is @roresu18.bsky.social's OC)
I feel like if I was running a games company, especially a company in the AAA space - I would be trying to hold on to talent as much as possible, but maybe that's just me.
As the director of a historical video game preservation institution, and someone who has dedicated his entire adult life to this cause, this is accurate. We have attempted to work with the industry's trade organization to find a legal path forward, but they refuse to offer a meaningful alternative.
piracy is the only extant form of media preservation that exists in games right now, you might find it morally reprehensible but there is literally no other institution that will keep games alive in 25, 50 years' time
The thing about consoles shifting to an all-digital library is that it further forces them to compete with PC gaming services who have a much better record on this kind of thing than they do.
It's equal parts bizarre and predictable that in the modern day there are weirdos online who are essentially the equivalent of those guys who spend all day getting mad about videogames and have rendered themselves incapable of actually enjoying them, except instead of videogames it's heterosexuality
y'know, I don't think the Amazing Digital Circus was ever really my thing, but I definitely admire it's creator for what they've accomplished and I wish them every success in their future endeavors

It's interesting to me how deeply flawed Minecraft is as a game, whilst still managing to be compelling purely from the strength of its sandbox, modding scene and ability to serve as a blank slate

In light of the recurring problem of trans erasure from the public eye, here's a 700 year old poem by a trans woman. It's quite a painful read, so be warned, but I think it's beautiful all the same. opensiddur.org/prayers/civi...

"its vs it's" is the most made up bullshit ever "how do we distinguish between these two words with the same spelling?" "It's simple, we just say that one of the like two universal rules of the apostrophe just doesn't apply here"
what baffles me about the brain genius "we should require legal names on social media For Civility" take that makes the rounds now and again isn't just that it's transparently misguided. what gets me the most is... do these people not have dreams? haven't you ever wanted to invent yourself?
Perhaps my perception is skewed, but is there any other industry that is as addicted to firing people as the Games Industry? Just constantly, reflexively hemorrhaging talent
indieslop goonbait friendslop why is so much language around art so hateful now
I feel like a lot of the time, the most noticeable flaws in a piece of media are only noticeable because the media as a whole is not good. And meanwhile the flaws that most undermine the whole piece are harder to spot or articulate.
