Convinced the human to go for a run today. She was slow. Not sure if it was the skinny jeans, the rocks in her pockets or if she's just out of shape. But we ran. It was fun.

Today we met up with a friend for pass practice. Muppy is a pro at it but Journey hasn't experienced it yet. She's been enjoying bikejoring a lot more so hoping to do some 2 dog classes this fall at a few dryland races. She is dog reactive so I want to get her comfortable with being passed.
Rainy days are for burrowing into a pile of blankets. Unfortunately there was a human under this pile and some kind of rabid hyena was lurking around.
The human discovered I was eating the peas and picking the squash, not the rabbits. An athlete trains hard and eats harder. The garden is serving its purpose: enrichment and food. I'm excited for the ears of corn! #Dachshund #BorderCollie #MixedBreed #Athlete #Garden
Weather is finally cooling down enough that we can run at work during breaks. Slowly finding more and more trails, and convincing co-workers to add a few more. My goal is to have a 1.5 mile trail and a 2.5 mile trail, and maybe a hill section loop. #Bikejoring #Dachshund #BorderCollie #MixedBreed
Back to office dog season! We run the trails at work before we block in and then again during break if it's still cool out. Also helps the human get some airborne protein in her diet.
I was told I'm not allowed to eat this pumpkin. Yet. Once it starts caving in, then I'm good to go cave diving. Estimated between 8-900 pounds.

The human is dying her hair. I'm currently invisible because I need a bath and she needs something to do while her hair cures.

Human here. You know what biking and gardening have in common? They're helping me get into shape for dryland season. And theyre both rad-ish.
The early morning temperatures have finally been in the 50s which means training time! I turned 9 this year and still have many miles left in me! Journey turns 6 this month and it's just happy to be along for the run. If she keeps the line tight, I consider that a win.
When I retire from mushing, I will take up singing. We just celebrated my 9th birthday last month.
If not for sleeping, why is it called a flower bed?

Sometimes life gives you mountains to climb. There's no rule stopping you from taking a dump when you get to the top.
Roughly 30 inches of snow after the last system moved through, now we have lots of drifting. I have been helping the human with snow removal and have been swimming in the snow. Also discovered that being tossed into a giant snow pile is my favorite thing!
Depending what weather show you see, we got around 24 inches of snow and have another 6 or so on the way tonight. I had the best day ever helping with shoveling paths.
This is a 12-hour difference and we haven't even reached the blizzard warning portion of snow. The deck had been three times already. Journey doesn't like deep snow for potty breaks.
Weatherman says we are getting 20" inches of snow and that the weather service says we have a 71% chance of 24" or more. Guys. Gals. Cool kids. This means I can make tunnels in my yard and live like my ancestors!!
Can we pleeeeeeeeeeaaasseeeee go back outside and play in the snow?
Here's a pretty plant. So far we have 7" of snow and they are predicting anywhere from 10 to 24 more inches by noon Monday.
