After a pretty good doctor’s visit yesterday, decided today was a good day to get back to the gym. Time to work on the one thing I have been neglecting.

I finished “Where the Line Bleeds” this morning by Jesmyn Ward. Book really made me think about the decisions we make and how to lead to other decisions and more and more decisions and the morality of those decisions. #BlackBookSky #BookSky

The things that go through your mind when you reach a certain age. Today I sat down and heard a ripping sound. My mind immediately starting playing the guessing game: A. My shorts 🩳 B. My boxers 🩲 C. A body part just broke

Finished “Let Us Descend” by Jesmyn Ward yesterday. A hauntingly, beautifully well-written poetic book. A look at New Orleans slavery leading to emotional and physical freedom. #BlackBookSky #BookSky

Started “Josephine Baker’s Secret War” this morning. I already riveted to this biography. #BookSky #BlackBookSky

Today I finished Agatha Christie’s “Death in the Clouds.” Which means tomorrow I get to start “Josephine Baker’s Secret War.” This one has been on my TBR list for a while and I’m excited to start it. #BookSky

Today I finished “The Firefly Summer” and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. Started Agatha Christie’s “Death in the Clouds” today as well. Then I get into some socially and mentally challenging books for a bit. #BookSky

Recently read “Lord Edgware Dies” by Agatha Christie and now reading “Control Freaks” by J.E. Thomas. Needed some lighter fare after reading some darker books lately and more darker books on the horizon. #BookSky📖

I finished “Jackal” today by Erin E. Adams. Perfectly written also into the disappearance of young Black girls and a deep look into the soul of America as well. #BlackBookSky #BookSky

After reading the Housemaid series I really had no intention of reading another Freida McFadden book. Then a friend let me borrow their copy of “The Boyfriend.” It’s got me hooked, can’t wait to finish it tomorrow. #BookSky📖

Often I think the best part of a mystery book is knowing The Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How early in the story. Yet still discovering the events that the characters went through to get to the conclusion. #BookSky

Still reading “The Reformatory” by Tanarive Due. It has been a hard book to put down, very well written. Not nearly as dark and graphic as I had expected to be. I also have never read a single sentence in a book make five things make sense all at once #BlackBookSky #BookSky

Finished reading “The First State of Being” this afternoon. Started “The Reformatory” this afternoon. Not as dark of a book as I was expecting. It has been a great read thus far. #BookSky #BlackBookSky

Finished “Remarkably Bright Creatures” today. The ending was perfectly imperfect which made it perfectly great. Now reading “The First State of Being.” So far, it too has been a good read. #BookSky📖

I finished “Deacon King Kong” last night. After a slow start, it really picked up and got interesting. Today I started “Simon Sort Of Says.” Have a feeling this might be a tearjerker at the end. #BookSky #BlackBookSky
