I'm unexpectedly going to Girona (Spain) next week. Any top tips for restaurants, bars, things to do/see?

Tonight at Chez Jones: shepherds pie with peas, topped with parsley. Bit sloppy but tasty. Pie top: sweet potato, parsnip, cheddar, butter. Sauce: lamb, onion, celery, carrot, mint, rosemary, lamb stock, tomato puree, worcestershire sauce, olive oil, cornflour.
Saw the new Spiderman movie. Liked it about as much as the others: a little less than I hoped but it was a fun rump nevertheless. Definitely worth seeing if you're a fan. Also screen-x (they project the periphery of the scene/shoots on the side walls of the cinema) was actually pretty good!
Today at Chez Jones: lunch was chicken tikka leg with salad (radish, cucumber, tomato, parsley, lemon juice, mint). Dinner was dumplings (szechuan pork; pork and leek), homemade kimchi and dipping sauce (soy, sesame oil, rice vinegar, chilli).
Just to give a brief snapshot of how AI is used against writers - here's a screenshot of my junk box. Almost every day I get scam offers to host me at book festivals, improve my book's reach etc.
Today's lunch at Chez Jones: kimchi egg fried rice.
Haha I wrote a post about not using AI, and the bots picked up on it, misunderstanding it completely.
There has been an impact of AI (or lack thereof as I don't use it) on my creative writing and visual designs: I've gone more organic, leaning into imperfection and away from attempting to be "polished" (not that I ever was, but more so now).
Tonight at Chez Jones: roast chicken with bean and bacon stew. Stew: cooking bacon, butter beans, berlotti beans, carrots, celery, onion, vegetable stock, sage garlic shoots, white wine, olive oil, cornflour, chicken juices.
Did some garden/pagoda renovation. No filters, but probably ought to stain the path.
Just had a lovely charcuterie and carafe of wine at my pal Isla's wine bistro Chez Bernard. It only opened 2 days ago in Leith, Edinburgh but was absolutely buzzing. If you're looking for a nice glass of wine and some tasty french treats, I highly recommend it.
Tonight at Chez Jones: siu mai (w sweet chilli sauce) and takoyaki (with kewpie mayo, takoyaki sauce and dried fish flakes). Both from a Chinese supermarket.
Top movie-going money saving tip: if you download the CompareTheMeerkats app (UK thing) you automatically get 2-for-1 cinema tickets (for Tues/Weds) for Cineworld. I just booked two tickets at a screen-x venue for this for £22.
Tonight at Chez Jones: fried rice with tofu and sesame seeds, homemade kimchi (including radish and carrot), peanuts, garlic shoots, edamame, fried eggs, spring onions, chilli sauce, sesame oil and soy sauce.
I try not to let my artwork get too political, but some things need to be said.
4.5/5 for "The Odyssey" for me - it was a visceral experience and visually stunning, the sound was amazingly used to make scenes feel real. But... I am unsure about the Imax. It's my first time there and I was in the front row (so maybe not the best place) ...
I've not tried it yet, but I have a hunch that kimchi will pair well with pineapple. Has anybody tried it, or have any good pairing combos for kimchi?
Tonight at Chez Jones: sweet and sour chicken, garlic shoots and peppers, with jasmine rice.
Just as I put the lids on my 3.5kg of homemade kimchi, my partner said, "I'm not really a fan of kimchi"
Any guesses what I'm making? I accidentally bought garlic stems instead of Chinese chives, couldn't find minari and am not using fermented salted prawns.
Tonight at Chez Jones: creamy bean stew, chicken, cheesy dumplings.
Today's lunch at Chez Jones: creamy butter bean and sweet potato stew, pork loin, cheddar and sage dumplings. Stew: onion, carrot, celery, courgette, sweet potato, butter beans, garlic, cider vinegar, beer, chicken stock, cream, parsley, thyme, sage, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil.
Tonight at Chez Jones: Pollock thermador and salmon watercress (Aldi) with peas.
