#Drosophila research group with a heart for #scRNA seq on the search for why cells do what they do when they do it. We’re doing #DevBio #CellBio #Cancer research led by one of the #WomenInSTEM and a #NewPI.

I highly recommend everyone to apply for this meeting. It is such an amazing experience with amazing science, awesome people and at a gorgeous location!

Amazing news! The company of biologists @biologists.bsky.social has decided to support our upcoming meeting! We now only have a couple of spots left for the upcoming JEDI #Drosophila meeting. 📍Palmela, Portugal 📅 June 1st to 3rd Register: congressos.mundiconvenius.pt/geral/inseri...

Look at this view! And even better: every attendee gives a talk making this meeting extremely collaborative. This is THE meeting to be for #NewPI #Drosophila researchers - and those who want to connect to them!

Calling all #Drosophila #NewPI #researchers! A few spots remain for the upcoming JEDI Conference - and you won’t want to miss this! Every attendee gives a talk, making the exchange dynamic, personal, and highly interactive - all at a stunning venue that inspires collaboration and creativity.

Time to share some data that might get buried in the supplement of our recent paper here rdcu.be/e91Kj Here you can see how cells intercalate in a coordinated fashion. They move from a double rowed organisation to a single row stalk. 🧵

The lab is growing! We welcomed Hannah as a new PhD student and Anna and Lina as Master's students in the lab. I am more than thankful to be working with such a motivated, fun group of researchers!

Dear JEDIs, as we are self-organizing using the #EDRC as a nucleator we decided it is time for a JEDI database to boost our network! If you identify as a JEDI, please contact us here or send a mail to katja.rust@uni-marburg.de to be added to our database. #Drosophila @fly-eds.bsky.social

This would be an incredible disaster to the #Drosophila community. And it sets a frightening sign for the entire scientific community. 🧪 The fly labs from @unimarburg.bsky.social are trying to organize to tackle this together.

#Drosophila @flybase.bsky.social requires emergency funding: "As it stands, by the end of July, 2025, there will be no future updates to #FlyBase, and in the worst case scenario access to the website will also be lost". Please help if you can!
