High Chi guy Chicago via Detroit. Be excellent to each other.
Rainy Saturday recommendation: get real high and eat a fuck ton of shrimp fried rice
Listening to the new Strokes album and man am I bored. Lots of talk about the use of autotune but I can’t even care about that when the songs are this boring.
Heading to Detroit for a few days to visit some friends. Let’s take a look at the weather there and OH MY GOD GOOD LORD
This just triggered so many memories of people I grew up around in suburban Detroit telling stories of the horrors they’ve witnessed in the city, except that invariably their stories all took place outside of the Renaissance Center because it was the only place in the city they knew by name.
I love it when scared suburbanites have to regale us with the tales of how they saw a couple homeless people in downtown Salt Lake
The crowd at the MLB draft is doing an incredible job of acting excited about a bunch of guys that they have definitely never heard of before
The first time I heard someone say they were “bricked up” the context was really confusing and I assumed it meant he was constipated
This cat is 8 years older than ICE nypost.com/2025/12/30/l...
Flossie, the world’s oldest cat, celebrates milestone birthday, defying all odds
Did she combine all her nine lives into one?

What do you mean abolishing ICE is not doable? It was created in 2003. There are Missy Elliot songs older than ICE.
I saw this in the theater and when this happened a guy a couple rows up stood up, made finger guns at the screen and yelled “Take that, bitch!” It’s still my greatest movie experience.
I loved what Tarantino did with Bridget Fonda and Robert De Niro in that sequence in JACKIE BROWN where she keeps goading him and goading him until he pulls out his gun and shoots her dead. It's so surprising, it's perfect. It's a wonderful sequence. I liked that movie. (2001)
This isn’t an opinion someone comes by if they’ve ever had a single conversation with someone who has had a stalker or a boss
I’m open minded on real names. We should definitely ban “cartoon avatar coupled with cutesy or “funny” name and behaves like an absolute tool” though.
This might get me canceled on Bluesky (farts into a paper bag and then pops the bag in your face)
oh shoot i forgot to listen to the new horse lords album
Someone with a name like this can only be a baseball player. If he doesn’t play pro ball he will cease to exist.
CORD RAGER
A democracy isn’t defined by the existence of elections so much as it is by whether or not the actions of the government reflect the will of the people.
Michigan Governor caught on hot mic with Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk, discussing citizen opposition to AI data centers, bragging how she ignores their concerns: “We’re used to people saying 'f*ck no,' & doing it anyway.”🇺🇸
For some reason Rahm Emanuel’s extensive and impressive resume (covering up police murder, closing schools and mental health clinics, NAFTA, racist 1994 crime bill, anti-single payer healthcare, pro-drone strikes) is not resonating with left-of-center voters. A true mystery.
His long résumé would traditionally be an asset, but it could be a liability in a Democratic Party where some are calling for younger leaders after former President Joe Biden. on.wsj.com/4xerLZA
I really like Kurt Vile but his albums are all too fucking long
Guided By Voices, My Morning Jacket and Boards of Canada all have new albums out today, in case you’re wondering what the 44 year old white guys are listening to today.
Watching the Wishbone documentary and I think it’s just what I needed.
Fans who want MLB to have a salary cap on the premise that it will supposedly create more parity need to reckon with the fact that dynasties happen in the NBA and the NFL more than they do in MLB and that MLB has more parity than those leagues do. The main argument for the cap is a total lie.
I just remembered that there’s a new Guided By Voices album dropping tomorrow. The most reliable thing in my life comes through yet again. Fuck yes.
Oh fuck everything is bad again
Both sort of suck but the Goo Goo Dolls at least occasionally sounded sorta like the Replacements
who is better: Counting Crows Goo Goo Dolls
Just me (stoned) and another dude (also clearly high) trying to dodge each other’s shopping carts at 8:00 on a Sunday
Slightly increase a band Moderate Threat
Slightly increase a band Dinosaur Sr.
