Happy Sunday! And huge thanks to everyone who has bought #thelightacandlesociety (in any format) So excited to wake up and find that it is now an Amazon Top Ten Kindle Bestseller. This book is so special to me - it means the world. Ps - it's NOT a romance #kindle #bestseller #fiction #notaromance
Whilst writing #thelightacandlesociety, I saw this film starring the brilliant Eddie Marsan. It's a quiet masterpiece of a movie, and I can't recommend it highly enough @atlanticbooks.bsky.social @mslisahighton.bsky.social #publichealthfunerals #eddiemarsan
Who remembers Loulou by Cacharel? Back in the 80s, it was my favourite perfume (along with Poison for Big Nights out!) It's also the perfume of choice of one of my characters in #thelightacandlesociety. Pure coincidence it matches the cover of the book! #fictionalcharacters #loulou #perfume #1980s
This morning's dog walk in #fosterhillroadcemetery The headstone for those with no memorial mirrors the sentiments of my latest book - #thelightacandlesociety @atlanticbooks @mslisahighton.bsky.social @atlanticbooks.bsky.social #rescuedogs #publichealthfunerals #untoldstories #Bedford #notaromance
A lovely event on a sweltering day at Bromley Waterstones to talk about THE LIGHT A CANDLE SOCIETY. Thanks so much to everyone who came and to Cat for organising - and for the cakes and flowers that matched the cover! #thelightacandlesociety @mslisahighton.bsky.social @atlanticbooks.bsky.social
