100 years back, they were all small children or actual babies! 75 though, I've got fireman, housewife, insurance salesman, & doctor, so a good range. I'd have to choose doctor, I definitely couldn't handle fireman and I hate selling things with a passion. Never met her, but I gather she was a force.

If I were a billionaire, after investing: everyone I know gets a new house, quality healthcare & free college. Then I'd fund a lot of artists (painting, sculpture, writing, TV/film, +sized fashion), set up scholarships, pay off medical debts, buy a newspaper & hire union journalists.

I was conceived the day after she had a gynecologist appointment and he checked how well her iud was staying in place, which was, as it turned out, not very well. Part of the 1%, baby! Not a useful 1%, it doesn't pay any bills, but one of them, anyway.

Weaving, sewing, basic flintknapping, recently learned how to smooth an arrowshaft and do very basic fletching. Can cook some things on an open fire.

Holy shit. This is beyond horrible. Chaco Canyon is incredibly beautiful, archaeologically important, and culturally significant for the living descendants of the people who built it. PLEASE take a minute to protest asap, any US citizen can do it even if you live abroad.

Victorian London had up to six postal deliveries a day, you could send an letter in the morning and get a reply in time to meet up that evening (and probably that afternoon!). I don't even get one, we're down to getting mail every 2 or 3 days.

I was born just before the last mid-length blue bar - the last year it that was substantially cooler than the year before. In 38 years, only 7 have been (barely) cooler than the year before. Most have been MUCH warmer.
Man, the British Museum was deeply unprepared for members booking for the Bayeux Tapestry. I queued for 3:45 before getting tickets. When I got off they'd already sent apologetic email which included 'please don't call, no one can help on the phone, honestly', it must have been grim in there.
