You know something has gone terribly wrong when 94% of teachers have to dip into their own pockets to buy school supplies while the average Wall Street employee got a bonus of $246,900 in 2025. Hello?

A rare rainbow in Hong Kong this morning. There was a faint one in the same spot and same time of day a couple of days ago. It seems someone is trying to send a message and was concerned it didn’t get through the other day. I am listening and hopeful that it is a good omen.

Happy Independence Day from Hong Kong. We do the best we can to feel American today. Got my Stars and Stripes shirt on eating a burger and fries with a chocolate shake. I don’t eat like this often so it feels special on a special occasion. Cheers!

On July 4, 1976, I was a teenager and played the drum in a fife and drum corp for the Bicentennial Independence Day celebration. It was in a small, rural town in Western Massachusetts. The whole town came out. A different time in America. The image is AI generated just to remember that day.

Saying good night to my BlueSky friends with this incredible sight. On June 31, a rare 22-degree solar halo appeared above Devils Tower in Wyoming. The ring formed as sunlight passed through millions of tiny hexagonal ice crystals, creating one of nature's most beautiful optical displays.

Bigfoot in China. On our recent trip we passed through an area that is famous for over 400 reported sightings of Yeren (野人), which literally translates to "Wildman." It is a hairy creature said to stand 6 - 7 feet tall. Despite large rewards offered, no proof of existence has ever been found.
