Bloomberg reports that BC Partners is leading an investor group that would *lend* money to LIV Golf. It's unclear if this is the "lead investor" described today by Scott O'Neil or something different.

LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil says they have found a lead investor to keep the league afloat in 2027 and potentially beyond. Players are expected to become the majority equity owners of the league (presumably after bankruptcy and converting contracts to stock). Will Rahm and Bryson stay for 10 events?
It sounds a lot like Jon Rahm is either going to get pennies on the dollar for a nine-figure sum still owed to him by LIV Golf, or he'll get essentially worthless equity instead. Two pretty crappy choices. The third is walk when bankruptcy is declared and beg off the PGA Tour.
Man, do I feel every bit of this. It can be a deluge, and I can't keep up with it. So I created a wire service, and that works for a lot of people in the space.

Pro tip: If you're ever so animated about something to email someone and tell them to fuck off, definitely don't do it from your corporate email address
WOW. A 5-man playoff on the Korn Ferry Tour ends on the 1st playoff hole. Four dudes hit it inside 12 feet and just ONE made it: champion Derek Hitchner.
Great to hear Jay Townsend's voice on the Korn Ferry Tour broadcast this week. He's really good at the on-course role.
Arccos Golf sure does say AI a lot in their commercials, and I'm pretty sure the platform just isn't ever gonna truly catch on
It's a real shame this is the last we'll see of Detroit Golf Club, at least for a while. This reno was fantastic.
Michael Thorbjornsen just needed to have a Sunday like this to prove to himself that he can do it. Could be on a rocket ship next.
The older I get, the more I can't stand play-by-play folks who do an unnatural "official announcer" voice.
That was a fun Women's Open finish. Kuwaki seems like a fun player to watch, and the LPGA can always use another personality.
The AIG Women's Open is BY FAR the weirdest major of 2026
Lucy Li winning the Women's Open would be pretty awesome
Latest LIV update: Front Office Sports maintains the team championship will be canceled, while Sky Sports now says it's on
Reading between the likes, it sounds like the reported $250MM LIV Golf has raised is very much contingent on players, namely Jon Rahm, converting their owed money into equity in the league. The league will declare bankruptcy to wipe out player and vendor contracts.
I was in an airport last week, and some lady from Alabama was talking about how grateful she was to overcome breast cancer...but also not have to get the COVID vaccines. Couldn't believe those consecutive sentences.

I was coming back from French Lick, Indiana, yesterday, and we stopped at this place on the way back to Louisville. I cannot imagine how this was all-you-can-eat for $18, but I will find a way back there someday.
Tried the Costco chicken tendies today. Pretty good on the taste, and the sauce isn't bad, although there should be more sauce options. But the volume of chicken for $7 is staggering.
LeBron gonna be at Merion to hand out the US Am trophy somehow

J.O. Spice (the elite crab spice) needs to open a Rome distribution center
Fun-but-also-depressing fact: blue crabs are an invasive species in Italy, so they’re cheap and enormous and they’re trying to get people to eat more of them
French Lick is hosting People's League, which is a new league for creators/YouTubers, etc. They had a par-3 contest team event last night, and I got pulled in to play. Gotta admit that it's harder than it looks, and the skill level is very strong.
There may be no better invention for a golfer than the ClubGlider travel bag. It is truly a life-changing piece of luggage.
