Went to Natron Waterfalls. A 45 minute hike along slippery rocks and across a shallow stream lead us to a most magical treasure. Unfortunately I cannot show you the waterfall itself as it would have soaked our cameras.

Saturday morning at the farmer’s market in Arusha was a total sensory overload in the best way. I could have spent days wandering the labyrinth of stalls and tables filled with beautiful produce and people.

I said “Kielbasa” and my confused son asked, “Is that the group you wanna see in Chicago?” No snark, just spaciness with a dash of ignorance. Now I am starting a fan-fic where the Brewer’s Racing Sausages start a band. But would it be spelled Kill Basa or Kiëlbäsä?

I try to explain it to producers but edits are like capitalism. It might sound like it works on paper, but once you start cutting dialogue it takes a lot of fudging to get the results you copy pasted from the transcript.

Deciding what media to pack for a 16 hour flight is too much for my indecisive brain. Audiobooks? Mixtapes? Movies? TV shows? Clean out my inboxes? Teach myself how to tie various knots? Or do I just try and rawdog the whole flight? www.forbes.com/sites/britta...

The ‘Rawdogging’ Flights Trend, Explained

'Rawdogging' a flight was the unexpected travel trend that emerged this summer. Distraction-free flying can be good for mindfulness, health experts have some concerns.

My kid survived his first night working for the Brew Crew and he’s due back at the stadium again tomorrow morning. When he came home he sounded like a man who has spent 15 years on the factory line.

I heard robins on the side of house throwing a loudass tantrum. Then I heard our parakeets screeching. I turned the corner to see what was the commotion and a hawk is on the ground clutching something. The cat jumps in a window and starts hissing. The hawk flies off. It’s Looney Tunes over here.

This touches (that might be a pun) on many of the current issues I've been having regarding our so-called progress and the pursuit (not attainment) of happiness.

I did a huge, massive interview with @annehelen.bsky.social about gratification and The Small Stuff, and I'm immensely grateful to her for printing a kind of preposterous number of words I wrote in response to her deep, excellent questions: www.patreon.com/CultureStudy...

When you eat at Taco Bell and your ass unleashes hell... That's diarrhea. It's also a prime example of FAFO or what happens when you have industrial farming without stringent health inspections. We could probable prevent some of this shit, but ya know, freedumb reigns (down like diarrhea).
