I still prefer mid-rolls over pre-rolls for ads, as a streamer and a viewer. As a streamer, I just type in chat when I'm talking during mid roll ads; as a viewer I go take a toilet break or refill my water or do anything else.
I wonder if app devs wake up and be like "I WANNA RUIN EVERYONE'S MUSCLE MEMORY TODAY"

Smaller streamers often complain that Twitch does nothing to help them. The problem is not Twitch, but on them for not putting in the effort to understand the landscape in and improve their discoverability on other platforms.
I think that it's perfectly fair for communities to enforce 18+ rule even tho their content isn't necessarily nsfw. People under 18 tend to have behavioural issues that would result in conflicts with online communities

There's a new change where non-affiliate streamers can have channel points, subs, bits... other benefits and pre-roll ads. The main attraction of affiliate status is being able to receive pay and have mid-roll ads.
