So it's the usual suspects AGAIN with this new censorship push on Pixiv & Celsys, targeting even mainstream works indiscriminately. (VISA & Mastercard, and likely the Collective Shits from Down Under) A pox, nay, the mark of the devil on the foreheads of all those responsible.
Celsys & CSP have managed to avoid controversy for years, but looks like they've stepped into big doo-doo this time with their obfuscation & scapegoating (possibly due to some retarded UK govt thing). I personally use nothing but default materials so am generally unaffected, but nevertheless...
Just watched the latest ep. of Clevatess, and there's these short sequences that instantly give an uncanny yet familiar feel, whereupon you realize these are actual miniatures being blown up and run through a filter. Incidentally, the director previously worked on a lot of tokusatsu (Ultraman).
Lost internet access for a week thanks to a confluence of events but service finally restored thankfully. (One technician taking less than ten minutes to fix things somewhere up the line)
A Vessal of the cruder sort oft-seen in the hands of minor realms or exceptional individuals. Constructed from locally-sourced parts built upon a core of critical components made elsewhere & obtained by various means. Crude, yes, but still a war machine of the first order.
Thus ends a really good show that, at 24 episodes, had the runtime to properly develop its characters & themes. It's ostensibly an urban fantasy, but take away the trappings & Yuusha no Kuzu fits right into the cyberpunk genre. 1/3

Reading the manga after the show concluded, and the anime was pretty much a 1:1 adaptation...which makes me think this was written as a straight-up satire, wasn't it? Like, every 3 or 4 pages there's someone obligated to say "Amazing!" "Sasuga Noah-sama!"

There's a highly visible trend over the past decade in how dungeons are treated more & more often in JP pop media as exploitable resources/business opportunities, probably due mainly to videogame grinding for mats & drops. Influences go both ways.
I get the impression that, after the latest blatant ICEtrocity, a number of 2A-adjacent people on the other site want to speak out against it but can only give the vaguest milquetoast fence-sitting responses in order not to offend & lose a significant chunk of their followers. Musk-trapped.
