Finished listening to Mythos read by Stephen Fry, as a Mythology nerd there was little in it I did not already know, yet it was still very entertaining and well presented. #booksky

She/her, Canadian Author, TTRPG GM/player, animal/nature lover. I enjoy good stories in all forms. I am pro LGBTQIA2S+ rights opposed to discrimination. Also I really Hate Ai.
I ended up setting aside The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in favor of reading Frankenstein which I have now finished. I have concluded that I was remis to not have read this book earlier in my life, it really is a masterpiece 🎃
S-L Mackenzie@s-l-mackenzie.bsky.social · last wk.I finished my first October classic read, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a fairly short book that is very heavy on detail and set up. It's a product of it's time and not really my thing but it was worth taking the time to find that out. Next up- The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde 🎃
I have been helping/making my Nana's stuffing recipe every Thanksgiving since I was 14 the #recipe is as follows 1 loaf of bread 2 medium onions 1 500g pack of bacon Sage and black pepper to taste Instructions to follow #Thanksgiving
Listening to Mythos by Stephen Fry on audible while playing dressmaker is a great way to relax 😸
Hi #booksky I'm hoping for recommendations for Indie books in the Fantasy, Mystery and Romantasy genres or spooky season books 👻

Having opinions and expectations is not toxic, neither is being disappointed or leaving a negative review. #booksky
Happy October!! I can't believe my favorite month of the year is back again. To celebrate, I wanted to bring back this pumpkin/jack-o-lantern illustration I made last year! Aren't they adorable? :) #october #fall #halloween #pumpkins #procreate #art #digitalart
It's pride month in South Africa so I'm here (as a queer, coloured author) to tell you about my very gay fantasy novel about queers of colour defying a Goddess' prophecy and chosing their own destinies! I think that the best books keep the reader curious 💙📚
3 indie book recommendations for the up-coming spooky season #booksky -The Mistress of the Crows : Nine tales of vampires, witches, ghosts and human monsters by Gary Kruse -Enlil & Aris: The Complete Collection by Rebecca Crunden -The Memoir of Johnny DayWalker by Meghan Davis
Spent the day reading The Memoir of Johnny DayWalker by Meghan Davis and loved it. This vampire memoir was funny, charming and touching. My only complaint is that I want more... guess I'll just need to check out the author's other books. #booksky
I watched The Love Hypothesis movie last night ♥️ It's a really good/fun rom-com although I'm not sure if I should/want to read the book or not 🤷♀️
Last night I read Unsaved (A Tale at the End Book 1) by Pemry Janes. It's an intriguing sci-fi dystopian novella following a robot doing what it takes to survive in a world that doesn't accept them. A quick read with deep themes. Also I love the cover. #booksky
This is the most masculine video on the internet right now
I love cooking but most of my recipes are just put flavor on the thing and then cook until it is cooked, serve with other things with flavor on them that have been cooked until cooked.
Hi #booksky I just received an amazon gift card for my birthday, and am looking to buy some indie books. Friends, Readers, Authors, comment your recommendations.

Writing advice- Do not read articles or watch videos on how to "write good" when you are in the drafting phase, save it for when you're editing. (Coming from someone who just broke that rule and deeply regrets it🤦)
I managed to update my WIP section of my website, only one day late this time. I still plan on posting updates on the 25th of each month, but the 25th of August is a little rough because it would have been my mom's birthday. In future years I may aim to update early in August to avoid being late.
The last few day's I've been comfort watching Grimm, and I've come to the conclusion that Rosalie and Monroe really are my favorite tv couple.
I never understood the cats vs dog feud thing, my family always had both and at worst they were neutral to each other, although often they were/are friends 🐾
