Carter Springs' remains have to be burned up completely or else he'll regenerate back. What Lester and Naomi can endure might be based on video game/cartoon logic although Naomi might be a lil closer to the average human. Artemis can survive as much as the average shonen anime protagonist can.

Naomi would pick her husband and fail, since although he's trapped in one of the options for an afterlife, he's definitely still alive and kicking. Artemis would pick his dog Meringue. (After digging her back up of course.)
