😍📚 Our Elena Dobre is enjoying her research stay at the Instituto Franklin-UAH, as recipient of a Washington Irving grant. Her project examines fantasies of regional decline and fascist resonances in William Faulkner's work + their possible intersection with contemporary ethnonationalist discourses.
On Thursday, Fabio Santos from the University of Copenhagen (@ucph.bsky.social) will give a lecture on “'Is It Because We Are Negroes?': Haitian Refugees, Racialized Detention, and Anticolonialism in Puerto Rico." 🕰️ July 9, 6:15 p.m. 📍 HCA, Atrium
