Let's talk about JK Rowling's 'bearded men'... I want to vent something that's been on my mind: The way transphobic groups and individuals are also actively homophobic. I've experienced it first hand, and know many others have too. 1/

Writing a book: First you're going to go quietly mad for a few years. You're going to make a private precious thing that only you know about. It's delicate, introverted and lonely work. Ok? Good so now PUT IT OUT THERE FOR EVERY PERSON TO SEE!!! NOW SELL IT!!! MARKET THE PRECIOUS SECRET BABY!!!!!!

Mosaic artist: What do you want on the floor of your family Villa? Fish, flowers, maybe a portrait of your wi- Roman patriarch: My favourite gladiators Margaritis and Ellenikos! They have armour but I want... no I NEED to see their pecs. Make it so their muscles are really oiled up. Real sexy like?

Next... more homoerotic than full queer (I'll let you decide) but in his fancy Roman villa the man of the house wanted to have his two favourite gladiators depicted shirtless and oiled up on the floor... Margarites and Ellenikos (The Greek) are both named which is also cool and rare. 3/

A Roman mosaic. Two gladiators are fighting with practice swords. They wear armour but with chests uncovered. The use of tiles subtly hint at reflection and definition on their arms and calves. They are both named in Greek script: Margarites and Ellenikos.

Couldn't make London's Trans Pride because it's Stroud Pride today also, but have a banging day! And remember you're all fab and hate makes you a special kind of ugly that no amount of mega yachts or cigars can hide. X 🏳️‍⚧️

I'm so tired of people that were never bullied nerds at school suddenly pretending to care about Greek myths and historical accuracy because some random internet person has told them this is the end of society!!!

Something I am finding a bit depressing; When on my ADHD medication I do (for a brief moment) feel confident, decisive and filled with a kind of 'Yes, I can do this, and I am a good man worthy of nice things!' attitude. This might sound great, but it is sad that I sometimes need a pill to do this.
