It's insane that this story works. Setting where it's compulsory to submit your dead relatives to the glue factory cartoon conveyor belt with but rotating knives at one end and they find a way to turn that into a piece of really miserable pathos

just read the dredd story "Bury My Knee at Wounded Heart" and staggeringly awful pun aside it's some of the best emotive storytelling you can do with this setting
the really good writers always understand him as either a horror movie monster or a wretchedly tragic piece of shit
u do worry that ur like "this vibes different so it's bad now" when new writers get involved with something like dredd especially after Wagner and Grant's unbroken decade run of the thing but Mark Millar sucks and is an awful writer so i do at least know i'm objectively correct to feel this way here
