real-life kuudere fan of anime, ancient languages, and other stuff like that For already have I once been a boy and a girl And a bush and a bird and a leaping, wayfaring fish they/them discord: sad_the_impaler

new favorite bit of ancient poetry courtesy of empedocles (fr.117): ἤδη γάρ ποτ’ ἐγὼ γενόμην κοῦρός τε κόρη τε θάμνος τ’ οἰωνός τε καὶ ἔξαλος ἔμπορος ἰχθύς for already have I once been a boy and a girl and a bush and a bird and a leaping, wayfaring fish

was looking up a fragment of empedocles (117) in the tlg to get the text so i could post it but there are multiple versions in there and now i'm not even sure what the text is supposed to be. am i looking at a "scaly fish", a "fiery fish" (very strange), or a "wayfaring fish"?

lately sometimes i look at my prose writing and i think to myself "oh god this sounds like claude" and i begin to feel disgusted and nauseous. i dont think it actually sounds like claude in real life but sometimes it really sounds like it sounds like claude
