Background actors should feel free to accept as many availability checks (AKA first avails) as they desire until they are booked. And once they are booked, they should let the background casting director know they are no longer available.

🎂 #BOTD in 1913 is actor, artist & comedian Red Skelton. Best known as host of The Red Skelton show, Skelton believed his life’s work was to make people laugh. In 1987, Skelton received the SAG Life Achievement Award & was inducted into both the Television & Radio Hall of Fame.
